Who wouldn't be tempted by some of the things Restoration Hardware has to 'offer'? Not me!
I love the matching lounge chair too:
Of course, the backdrop these items are photographed in helps! There are actually two of these stores in Toronto...one of these days, I definitely have to check one of them out (sans my hubby though!).
Thanks to a post by one of my neighbours, I learned of this store which sells little t-shirts for multi-cultural kiddies. The shirts (and also the babies sporting them) are so cute! The shirt below would be good if/when my hubby and I have a child--
My mom has been doing a lot of wedding-related 'work' lately for my sister's wedding and I guess must have been in the dancing spirit when she searched for and found this video...the couple in it is so cute and it looks like they're having so much fun. Really makes me want to just get up and bust a move!
My mom had this poem hanging on the wall while I was growing up and I still often think of it. It's always good to keep the big picture in mind and I'd say this is a good part of it; to me, these are things I definitely wouldn't want to lose sight of.

I saw Tristan Prettyman mentioned here and thought I'd check out her music~I really like it...another CD or two to add to my wishlist!
When driving alone, what do you do? Sing along to the radio? Think about your day? Something else?

That's an easy one--sing! I love to pop in a CD and sing away...only problem is, if I drive, my hubby is a little chatty (compared to when he drives) and if one of my favourite songs comes on, I either have to pause the music or him! Heh heh. Best if he drives.
Wonder if there'd be less road rage and craziness if more people sang...maybe would depend on the songs being sung...who knows. Just thinking out loud. ^.^
One of my favourites from the Bee Gees...it was so neat hearing how this song was inspired. We were watching a documentary (can't remember the title, but I think it was this one) that had Barry (I think!) explain how the sound of their car crossing a bridge (which must have had seams between sections of road) led to the sound you hear at the beginning of this song. He went on to talk about how that led to something else that led to something else, and the song was born! Better that you see the documentary...and apparently, I should watch it again! : )

It's astounding how a song can transport you to a time in the past and evoke the precise emotion you felt so long ago. This song does that for me. Everytime I hear it, I'm transported back to Korea where I sat with my hubby in the back of his youngest uncle's car and heard this song for the first time...it was our last visit with the uncle before moving to Canada. He took us to this amazing place atop a mountain in Seoul for a drink and we had a great time together. A bittersweet memory; a bittersweet song.
Wow, I had no idea until a few minutes ago that this song is from 1975...what is it about 70s music? It always finds me!
Below is another great song from Jefferson Starship.
A little more recent sitting at 1978. ^.^
Oh man, I forgot to pick up a book I had on hold when I was at the university library tonight and said to my hubby a minute ago, "I'll just go early tomorrow morning and pick it up." Thought I'd better check the hours since it's summer after all. The hours are certainly good for a chuckle:
| Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 6:00pm | |
| Saturday | 1:00pm - 5:00pm | |
| Sunday | Closed |
So much for going there early tomorrow morning...heh heh.
