Oh man-I love this song! Going all the way back to 1979...
I nearly forgot I had this album...it's kinda nice when that happens-like finding money in your pants pocket.
Writing is tough. I can't even begin to think of how many hours have gone into each single page of my project...if I ever calculated it, I'm sure it'd be pretty embarrassing. It's such a long process of researching, notetaking, evaluating, organizing, synthesizing, outlining, writing, etc., etc., etc. Sometimes, you need to know you're not alone in the challenges writing presents, so on that note, here are some great quotes I found here:
"The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one."
(Mark Twain)
"Lower your standards and keep writing."
(William Stafford)
"Planning to write is not writing. Outlining--researching--talking to people about what you’re doing, none of that is writing. Writing is writing."
(E. L. Doctorow)

This is a great set, but at amazon.com and amazon.ca it seems to be available only through private sellers.
This one's a whopping $63.99 at amazon.com but only $24.99 at amazon.ca (not through private sellers)~what a difference in price. Kinda wonder what's up with that.
Eventually, I'll have to get Volume 3.
Incidentally, I'd say these are two of my favourite compilations...hard to choose just two favourites!
I also like this one (above) and
this one too! They make for a good atmosphere while you're relaxing with a coffee or chatting with someone. I have to get more music from the Putomayo collection eventually.
I wonder what it feels like to be able make your fingers move in such a way that this is the result. I tried playing the guitar once for maybe five minutes...I don't think my fingers were meant to bend like that.
and here I am trying to be productive. I am SO looking forward to e-mailing this chapter of my project to my advisor. She has been so patient and unwavering in her support of me...I know whatever I come up with has to be good. Pressure or what.
This site is fantastic~lists songs (and often artist & album information) played on Friends episode by episode. (Yes, I confess-I am a big Friends fan.)

Hope my dentist doesn't see this post. I love the logo 'cause it represents not only root beer (and my favourite root beer at that), but also reminds me of the good ole days when you could pull up to an A & W restaurant and have your food delivered to your car...does anyone remember having the food tray latched onto your window? Ah, the good ole days.
